Copolymer is a translucent white polypropylene with 5-10% polyethylene added. It can be heated at 155°C-160°C (310°F-325°F). It is self-adhesive when hot and is vacuum formable. Co-polymer is not as brittle as polypropylene. Blanching develops at areas of high stress. It has low notch sensitivity and the edges are easily polished. It is used for nearly all orthotic applications: spinal, lower and upper extremities. There are also some prosthetic applications. It has excellent orientation.
